The SYPO MediStructures work group consists of Femke de Bok and Leonie van den Heuvel. Both members of the work group have a medical background an experience with healthcare in Uganda. There is a vacancy in this work group for someone with extended experience with working with medical development aid in sub-Saharan Africa.

There are several parties involved in this medical project in Uganda. The main partner organization is the small local aid organization Pat the Child, which will recruit the volunteers for the medical trainings and build the Health Centers II. However, we believe that healthcare should be decided upon in the public domain. The decision as to where to place the clinics is therefore made by a medical committee and placement committee that consist of private and government health workers, local government representatives and representatives of local NGOs.
